Canton 5th Graders Learn About Trees, Bees, & Sheep

Students will get hands-on learning experiences at Canton Apples Farm Stand when they spend time learning about how the orchard is sustainably managed. While there, students will get a tour of the farm stand, processing facility, and orchard.  On the grounds, they will learn about the sustainable practices that help keep the trees healthy by using sheep to naturally graze & fertilize the plants, and honey bees to help ensure the apple crop & the grazers have the necessary pollination services. From the bees to the trees, it will be a fun learning event!
