SUNY Potsdam WISER Center Honey Bees: Making Nucs!

B.M. Dooney Farms will be helping the new WISER Center Summer Beekeeping Interns learn how to make their first colony nucs!

What is a ‘nuc’?

Nuc bees are already socialized to one another (originally from the same hive) and inherit frames of stored honey and brood from the parent colony.

This is a free event open to the public to come observe how a colony is divided each spring.
