Description

100% Raw Honey

Hive-to-Table philosophy: Our honey is unpasteurized.  Pasteurization leaves honey with little to no beneficial properties. Unpasteurized honey has all the enzymes, vitamins and nutrients still intact.  Unpasteurized honey also contains antifungal / antiviral properties, and helps ward off allergies.

At BM Dooney Farms we strive to use practices that are mutually beneficial to the bees and our farm.  Our goal is to respect the natural process of honey bees, while benefiting from reasonable and healthy honey harvests.  Our honey comes from the nectar of millions of wildflowers throughout the country side.  On warm days, in spring and early summer, the smell of honey fills the air throughout the apiaries we have across St. Lawrence county NY as the bees evaporate the nectar that they have stored.

BM Dooney Farms always uses organic practices.  We do not contract our bees for pollination service to commercial agriculture.  So, you can feel comforted that our products are always chemical-free, healthy and local.

At BM Dooney Farms we are committed to reducing plastic waste that can harm the environment.  Therefore, our honey is packaged in glass containers that can be reused and recycled.

  1. ME

I was given this honey a few years ago in some basket I won as a door prize. WOW! Yummy! Love it! If you contact them, they will let you know where they sell it locally.

  2. RB

Best honey I have ever had -ever – and not paid to say that- just true!

  3. Pam

This was given to me as a gift. My family ate it all. My only negative comment is that I had to wait until the next honey harvest season the following summer to get any more. They are a small place and sell out fast.

  4. Allen

This honey is the secret ingredient for my daily tea.

  5. Richard Lewis

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum! I’m not a fisherman, but I’m hooked on this honey. Those bees must be very special. And that’s the truth!

  6. Frances

    This honey is delicious!

  7. Liz Usborne

This is the most beautiful and delicious honey I’ve ever had. I can’t think of enough things to use it on,

  8. Robyn Berg

This is the best honey in the world, it tastes like warm flowers, LOVE it!
