Beekeeping 101 & Live Hive Demo

Colton-Pierrepont School Career Day

Starting at 9am we will engage with K-12 students of Colton-Pierrepont School in hands-on sessions about beekeeping & the importance of pollinators for sustainable agriculture. The live beehive will be on display full of honey bees! This is a portable wooden hive with glass viewing windows so everyone can see the bees working up close without crossing paths – the bees stay inside the Portable Live Hive & we watch from outside. It will be a great time to learn about beekeeping in the North Country & see North Country Honey Bees in action!
